Encryption and Description on Data Secure

Encryption is the process of securing the information by making the information can not be read without the aid of special knowledge. In another definition Encryption is a process of encoding the data to prevent unauthorized viewing or modify it. Encryption is a process to convert plaintext into chiperteks.Planteks itself is the original data or messages to be sent, while the ciphertext is the result of data encryption.
Encryption is used to protect critical data and prevent the unauthorized access to important documents. Encryption called cryptography, which is a science that created a message that can only be read by the sender and the receiver.
Decryption is the process of taking encoded or encrypted text or other data and converting it back into text that you or the computer are able to read and understand. This term could be used to describe a method of un-encrypting the data manually or with un-encrypting the data using the proper codes or keys.

The purpose of encryption is as follows:
Confidentiality
To keep the contents of the information of anyone other than who has the authority or the secret key to unlock the encrypted information.
Integrity
To maintain the authenticity / integrity of  data, the system must have  ability to detect manipulation data by parties who are not entitled, such as insertion, deletion, and other substitution data into the actual data.
Authentication
This relates to identification / recognition, both of  unity and  information system itself. Two parties must communicate with each other to introduce themselves. Information transmitted through a channel should be authenticated authenticity, data contents, delivery time, and others.

Three categories of Encryption :
  • Secret encryption key, there is a key to encrypt and decrypt the once information.
  • Public encryption key, there are two keys, one for encryption, and one for decryption process
  • One-way Functional, information on encryption to create a "signature" of the original  information   used to authenticate.

Advantages of Encyption :
  •  Confidentiality of information guaranteed.
  •  Provide authentication and integrity protection in the check sum algorithm.
  •  Tackling phone tapping and email
  •  For digital signature

Disdvantages of Encyption :
  • Encryption terrorist plot
  • Concealment of a criminal record by a thief.
  • Messages can not be read when the message recipient forgotten or lost key.

Symmetric and asymmetric encryption uses two different algorithms to produce ciphertext. In symmetric encryption, algorithm will breaks down data into small pieces called blocks. Then it would replace the letters, change the information in each block into numbers, compresses and expands data, and then run it through a mathematical formula including the key in. Algorithm then repeats the process, sometimes until a dozen repetitions. On asymmetric encryption algorithm, treats the text as a very large figure, raises it to a larger number, and then calculates remainder after dividing by other third-largest number. Finally, this rest of the figure is converted to text back. Encryption program can use the same algorithm in different ways, which is why the recipient of  encrypted information must have the same program with sender for coding data they receive.

1.     What problems does multitouch technology solve?
Answer:
To replace the use of mouse and keyboard, pressing buttons and turning scroll, and help people who has a weakness, like to speak and communicate with others people .where multitouch gesture is easier to use than commands. Minimize clutter with portable device - Such as the Android operating systems for smartphones has support for multi-touch. Users can manage emails, contacts, calendars and hold virtual meetings through a built-in webcam and microphone.
2.     What are the advantages and disadvantages of a  multitouch interface? How useful is it? Explain.
Answer :
ADVANTAGES
-     It’s able to manipulate object in screen with flexibility, you can fast to move back  just by “swipping”, or placing three fingers on the screen, and then move them.
-     Multitouch gestures are versatile and easier to remember than commands.
-     It’s very simple to use when you want to control, just by your fingers.
-     Based on ingrained human  movements that do not have to be learned, scientists say is the one of the advantages and the last one is it is are easy to use.
DISADVANTAGES
-     Smaller touch screen, less easier for people to used it.
-     Prices of such devices alsot too high at the beginning as it is for every new emerging technology. That also might be a disadvantage and people can be afraid to try new stuff, because people might refrain to buy it.
-     multi-touch interface is  people don’t have hands cannot use this especially for those who are categorized in groups of people handicapped. It’s  because the lump feels there are those who deliberately do not consider their feelings and this will cause them to feel themselves they cannot use the latest technology in line with those of developed world with advanced technology modernization.

3.         Describe three business applications that woul benefit from a multitouch interface.
Answer:
-      Business transaction. : allowing people to do business, because multitouch screen can be automatic in transacition machine ( ATM),
-      Digital reading : allowing people to read e-book very simple, easy to bring, and we   can zoom the picture just  by our fingers, and easily to drag
-    Purchasing electronic : we can buy a ticket for example movie’s ticket, we can purchased the tickets, without need to waiting a line.

4.   What management, organization, and technology issues must be addressed if you or your business was considering systems and computers with multi-touch interfaces?
           Answer :
The management, organization, and technology issues must be addressed if my business was considering systems and computers with multi-touch interfaces such as the employees who are not technology-savvy, psychological resistance to change, growing technology with the introduction of new and better gadget, high costs, the recurrent of data with similar feature different gadgets and intrusiveness with negative impression.

1.     What business and social problems does data center power consumption cause?
Answer:
The business and social problems does data center power consumption cause are excessive power consumption uses too much amount of electricity that must be generated through hydroelectric plants or coal-fired power plants. While hydroelectric generation plants are less stressful on the environment than coal-fired, but, they do pull resources from more useful purposes. Coal-fired power plants generate huge amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere which is a major cause of global warming. Social implications of increased power consumption point to global warming.

2.     What solutions are available for these problems? Which are environment-friendly?
Answer:
The solutions are available for these problems are building data centers that take advantage of hydroelectric power generation rather than coal-fired power plants; renewable energy projects; alternative energy; employee telecommuting; software that automatically turns computers off; and more efficient chips. Perhaps the most environment-friendly solutions are those that control the hardware and software, so that controlling the problem at its source. Virtualization holds great promises a way to reduce power requirements by reducing the number of servers required to run applications.
3.     What are the business benefits and costs of these solution ?
Answer :
The business benefits are the organizations can achieve sizeable effeciencies by  better managing the computing resources they already have . Green technologies are available for an entire organization or for a single employee's workstation. Unfortunately, many companies and business owners are stalled by the initially larger investment in green technology, and fail to realize the long-term benefits and cost savings. and the cost will be effective because there are a virtualization that is highly effective tool for cost-effective green computing because it reduce the number of servers and storage resources in the firms IT infrastructure.

4. should all firms move toward green computing? Why or why not?
Yes, all firms should move toward green computing because it is very efficient to reduce their power requirements and it makes sense to reduce cost ,both short term and long term.

1.     How does salesforce.com use cloud computing ?
Answer :
Salesforce is changing its focus from selling a suite of software applications to providing a broader cloud computing “platform” on which many software companies deliver applications and focused on the platform as a service . Cloud is really a competitive for Virtualization, which is really a great way to take one server and divide and conquer, and as well we can take a bunch of servers and balance a single app split across a farm of servers if the projected number of users and capacity demand leads to that conclusion, salesforce grouping into three types of clouds : sales cloud, service cloud and custom cloud.
There are advantages and disadvantages from using cloud computing, the advantages are like Automatic updates- This means that the user will always be getting the latest version of the software, with no new downloads required, No installs- You don’t have to worry about installing software onto any of the computers , Low Cost- The upfront cost of cloud computing is small. The user can space the payments out over a period of time, paying monthly payments. Doing this avoids any large upfront costs. And also disadvantages includes Security issues- Since software-as-a-service is not run directly by the company using it, it is possible that the information can be seen and leaked by others who run the program. Online connection-An online connection is needed to run the system

2.     what are some of the challenges facing salesforce as it continues its growth?how well will it be able to meet those challenges?
Answer :
salesforce will face challenges that are so tight because in this era of competition will be intense, and therefore the company should continue to develop and improve its business so as not to match or even defeated by business competitors, both from traditional industry competitors or new entrants, first of all competitors will begin to imitate or replicate the success of salesforce and build new innovations and may also offer lower prices than salesforce and the customer will take a lot more.

3. What kinds of businesses could benefit from switching to Salesforce and why?
Answer :
There are many kind of business  could benefit from swithching to salesfores such as Gmail, Google Docs, Google Talk, and Google Calendar and also iPhone.
Salesforce switchs with other business because Salesforce and Google both hope that their Salesforce.com for Google Apps initiative will galvanize further growth in on-demand software. Salesforce has also partnered with Apple to distribute its applications for use on the iPhone.
The company hopes that it can tap into the large market of iPhone users, pitching the ability to use Salesforce applications any time, anywhere. And Salesforce introduced a development tool for integrating with Facebook’s social network to enable customers to build applications that call functions at the Facebook site.

4. What factors would you take into account in deciding whether to use Saleforce.com for your business?
Answer :
There is some factor my business deciding wether to use  salesforce.com. Salesforce.com Web site places much more emphasis on cloud computing, grouping products into three types of clouds: the Sales Cloud, the Service Cloud, and the Custom Cloud. The Sales and Service clouds consist of applications meant to improve sales and customer service, respectively, but the Custom Cloud is another name for the Force.com application development platform, where customers can develop their own applications for use within the broader Salesforce network.

5. Could a company run its entire business using Salesforce.com,  Force.com, and App Exchange? Explain your answer
Answer :
Yes, they can. Salesforce opened up Force.com to other independent software developers and listed their programs on its AppExchange. Force.com Sites, based on the Force.com development environment, enables users to develop Web pages and register domain names. Salesforce’s cloud infrastructure includes two data centers. Salesforce’s AppExchange and Force.com platforms will prove large enough to deliver the level of growth Salesforce wants. It still isn’t clear whether the company will generate the revenue it needs to provide cloud computing services on the same scale as Google or Amazon and also make its cloud computing investments pay off.
